2019-2020

Summary and NarrativeHello! This is aztec.Exe, team #15091, a 2-year-old FTC team from Monterey Park. All of us are from Mark Keppel High School’s Design and Engineering Club and our team is based off and funded by the Bruggemeyer Library. We are made up of 13 members and 2 coaches. As a team, we try to focus on three goals, learning, communication, and outreach! Although losing matches would be a setback for most teams, we try to focus on learning from those matches to constantly improve our robot. In our previous year, we struggled to communicate plans and changes to the robot to each other, which resulted in a bad image and poor interview. This year, we created a Discord to communicate with each other, a Trello board to organize our tasks to specific members, and a detailed engineering notebook to keep our team informed. Being the only team from Monterey Park, we wanted to inform the community about the wonders of robotics and represent our community proudly. With these clear goals, we advanced through meetings, meets, and many scrimmages with other teams.
We are really proud of our accomplishments this year from outreach to competitions.
